Needed a ceiling fan mount installed to replace the antiquated electrical box.

I had used Dependable One in the past for a home remodel. These guys are the best. Steve, the owner, seems to be a workaholic. He is always working hard, trying to accommodate the customer. It also seems as though he hires quality folks to work with him as well. The guys that came to do the box were courteous, neat, and quick. The work was performed and they didn't leave a mess. I also thought the price was reasonable. I would use these guys again, no questions asked.

Description of Work:

Steve and his team first came to replace a bunch of outlets, make some of the GFCI outlets actually work, change some light switches, assess the electrical connectivity to an attic fan, fix some wiring (exposed) throughout the house, and assess some outlets that appeared to be dead.

Steve gave us an estimate of the work and showed up on the appointed day with a small army of electricians. Everything went more or less according to plan, but apparently the former home owners did some electrical wizardry (sarcasm). The outlets that were out by the door went nowhere.. so to keep it up to code Steve and his guys had to find way to run a line to the outlet.
Long story short, they managed to get everything up and running and never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. The outlet to nowhere made things run a bit over the estimate, but we knew that was a possibility going in. The guys put a lot of effort into minimizing the amount of wall cutting - and they closed up anything they opened.
Originally we were going to do the kitchen outlets, but since Steve knew we were just going to tear everything out in a bit he suggested we hold off on that part.
We also discussed replacing 6 recessed lights in the kitchen, removing 7 or so from the livingroom, and removing heatlamps in the bathrooms while adding recessed lights. We didn't get a bill yet for the lighting, but we will certainly use Dependable One Electric again.

Our dryer consistently tripped the circuit and we had an issue with an outlet. We called Dependable One to help us resolve these issues.

We called the company in the morning and left a message. We were surprised to get a return call from the owner who told us that he would have an electrician out later that same day. Although we did not need immediate service, we were very impressed by this responsiveness.
We received another call mid-afternoon from the owner giving us an approximate arrival time for the electrician. He was here very close to the expected time. He was a very personable man who easily identified the problem (loose circuit connections), checked and tightened all of our circuit connections and instructed my husband on how he could maintain the board to avoid further problems.
Because he informed us that a typical cause of house fires is the condition in which he found our circuits, we were grateful to have caught the problem early enough to avoid disaster and quite happy to pay the $145 to resolve the problem and gain important information about maintenance of a circuit board.

I contacted Dependable to replace a ceiling fan in our sunroom along with a defective circuit breaker. Left a message around noon on Tuesday and had a callback later that day to schedule an appointment for Wednesday. The technician arrived on time and spent a few minutes looking at the fan before diagnosing that it really was not broken, but needed some adjustment which I felt comfortable doing myself. The circuit breaker was also fine - it just needed to be reset which is something that I will know for the future. It would have been easy for the technician to replace both the ceiling fan and breaker and I would not have known the difference at twice what I paid, so I have to give them high marks for honesty. I had already purchased a replacement fan which I returned making my net cost effectively $0

Found Dependable One Electric on Angie's list under their "Super Service Award" section...and they really do deserve this rating. I called Dependable One Electric to ask about replacing a malfunctioning photo cell on the outside lamp post of my house. Steve answered the phone and asked when I would like to have the work done. I told him anytime during the week would be fine. He stated he had a van in the area and could perform the work that day. I told him that would be great. 30 minutes later the electrician arrived and completed the repair within an hour. Quick, efficient and well worth the price. I will definitely use them in the future.

Requested them to perform corrective work based on a home inspection. They gave us a rough idea and said would price on time and material

Absolutely perfect. Arrived on time and went directly to the home inspection list taking care of every item needed. Took them about an hour - gave us a $20 discount for Angies list! Very professional and understanding of our need to correct specific home inspection items at minimal cost. Cannot too highly recommend. They were the second company we contacted as our experience with the first company was totally unacceptable. We have written a review for them as well.

I called last week (Thursday) and left a message to see if someone would be available to repair a florescent light figure in our kitchen. Steve called me back the next day and scheduled an appointment for this afternoon (Monday) to have someone come out and look at it. We scheduled a two hour window. He was friendly and courteous on the phone, and provided up front information about pricing. We agreed that I would purchase possible replacement fixtures in advance.
Steve called this morning to let me know Greg was on his way. Greg arrived on schedule. He was courteous and professional. He looked at the fixture and said he would check it out and install the new one if needed. He replaced the fixture and it is working as expected. Greg also patiently waited to allow me to print out and use my Angie's list coupon ($20 off a service call). A great experience overall. I will definitely use this company again.

This is the 2nd time I've used them; both times a great experience. Quick response time (didn't have to wait 3 weeks for an appt like I used to do with Case) very friendly and professional all the way. They installed ceiling fans, chandeliers and dimmer switches throughout my home. Got it done quick and to my expectations. Great company.

They sent two people. We were very pleased with the service. He went up into our attic and found a gas pipe that wasn't connected. I'm really glad they went up there, peeked around, and helped us out with that. We were able to get someone to fix the problem. I was very, very happy with their service. I found them on Angie's List.

Lowered 2 electrical outlets so that I will still be able to access them after custom/built-in furniture is installed.
Fixed exterior, motion sensor light. Helped me to access an unused cable hookup in a different room.

I was eager to have this work done asap and Steve accommodated my tight schedule by giving me an evening appointment just two days after I contacted him. He took care to protect my wood floors before beginning and he cleaned up the little debris there was after the work was completed. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He did a great job. He estimated the total cost for all work as $250-$400 over the phone. The final charge was $255. I'm already thinking of future projects I'd like him to handle for me when I'm ready. I highly recommend him.
